Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Developer focused on API keys and payments platform development. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure APIs that integrate payment services and banking workflows across multiple jurisdictions. Day-to-day tasks include developing back-end services, optimizing payment processing logic, managing authentication and authorization for API keys, and ensuring high availability and performance of the platform. The Software Developer will collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The role also includes writing clean, testable code, performing code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to documentation and best practices for secure payments and data handling.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development for APIs and payment or fintech platforms.
- Proficiency in Programming with at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Go, or Node.js).
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and application of OOP patterns in production systems.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization (API keys, OAuth, JWT), and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of payments processing, banking integrations, or financial services systems is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate across distributed teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
