Position: Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst - Junior
Number of hours: 40 hours / week
Schedule: EST
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining software license inventories and entitlement records.
- Track software installations, usage, and license compliance.
- Support software audits and compliance reporting activities.
- Review software contracts, renewals, and licensing documentation.
- Help identify opportunities for software license optimization and cost savings.
- Maintain asset management records and software lifecycle documentation.
- Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, and vendors to support asset management activities.
- Assist with software requests, deployments, and license assignments.
- Prepare reports and dashboards on software asset utilization and compliance.
- Participate in process improvements and documentation updates.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, IT Operations, Procurement, or a related role.
- Basic understanding of software licensing concepts and IT asset management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately with records and documentation.
Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Scrum Foundations
- ITIL Foundation v4 (preferred)
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) (preferred)
