The Analyst III Software Asset Management position is responsible for assisting with the LNLP Software Asset Management team to enable loading and tracking of software entitlements into the SNOW inventory of technology assets or other tool designated by LNLP.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the loading entitlements, maintaining a centralized asset management tracking system, and maintaining visibility of all software licenses for the RELX businesses globally.
- Involved in the management of software acquisition compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning, and costing.
- Works closely with LNLP SAM and Global Procurement (as required), as well as regional procurement leads, and Accounts Payable.
- Tracking of and compliance with supplier software licensing and entitlements is the primary focus of this position.
- The Analyst III Software Asset Management also identifies process improvements to drive efficient, effective SAM operations relative to the documented SAM processes to support business needs while ensuring RELX compliance risks are managed.
- Interfaces daily with LNLP SAM team to understand software asset management strategies and licensing, to ensure alignment between the LNLP SAM and PMO objectives/initiatives, and drive results against SAM metrics.
- Will also serve as an ambassador to the business ensuring procurement policies, software asset management processes, and best practices are understood and supported.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree. Business, Technology, Procurement, Operations
- Minimum of 3-5 years Business or Technology experience
- Procurement skills, very good knowledge of hardware/software acquisition processes, understanding of purchase requisitions/purchase orders, and finance systems literate.
- Experience in medium to large company environment
- Excellent quantitative/analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task, handling quick turnaround, time-sensitive documents. Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Ability to read and understand IT contracts.
- Knowledge in operations systems
- Excellent Outlook, Word, Excel skills
- Experience with major enterprise systems such as SNOW, Oracle, PeopleSoft and Ariba.
