Social Media Video Editor

RYSE is a smart home startup operating in Canada and the United States. We build devices that automate existing window coverings, with control through a smartphone app, voice assistants, and integrations with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit. Our products have been featured in TechCrunch, CNET, PCMag, Fox News, and CBS, and received a CES Mark of Excellence Award for Motorized Product of the Year.

The Role

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented video editor who understands short-form social content and knows how to make videos that capture attention, retain viewers, and have the potential to go viral.

What You'll Do

• Edit and deliver at least one engaging short-form video per day
• Develop fresh video concepts, hooks, and creative approaches for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
• Stay current with platform trends, editing styles, and emerging content formats
• Work independently and collaboratively to produce polished, on-brand content
  
  

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• At least one year of social media video editing experience
• Proficiency with CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro
• Familiarity with Asana, Google Drive, and cloud-based collaboration tools
• Strong spoken and written English, including writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Experience applying brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency in edited content
• Experience managing deadlines in a content production or video editing workflow
• A portfolio or examples of relevant short-form video work
