About the Role

We are seeking a high-calibre Social Media & TV Video Editor VA to work across multiple Cosi-operated brands, including television content, digital media, and charity initiatives with Social Media Management skills.

This is a hands-on execution role, combining:

  • Primary skill: Video editing (TV + short-form social content)
  • Secondary skill: Social media management & technical publishing

You'll be employed by Staff Pilot and embedded directly into a high-volume content environment with clear systems, workflows, and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing (Primary Responsibility)

  • Edit content for:
  • Instagram Reels
  • Facebook (Meta)
  • TikTok
  • YouTube (Shorts + long-form where required)
  • Cut down:
  • TV show footage
  • Long-form episodes
  • Raw phone footage
  • Behind-the-scenes travel, lifestyle, and charity content
  • Turn unstructured footage into compelling, story-led edits
  • Identify hooks, pacing, and emotional moments
  • Match existing editing styles precisely once trained
  • Add captions, jump cuts, sound effects, emojis, and light motion graphics
  • Optimise content for each platform (aspect ratio, length, pacing)

Social Media Management & Technical Execution (Secondary Responsibility)

  • Publish and schedule content across:
  • Instagram
  • Facebook (Meta Business Suite)
  • YouTube (YouTube Studio)
  • Manage posting cadence and content calendars
  • Assist with captions, hashtags, tagging, and formatting
  • Monitor basic analytics and performance trends
  • Flag high-performing content and opportunities
  • Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips
  • Handle basic technical troubleshooting (uploads, formats, account access)

Portfolio Requirements (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

A strong portfolio is mandatory. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Applicants must provide:

A video editing portfolio showcasing:

  • Short-form social media edits (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
  • Clear storytelling, pacing, and hook execution

Links to social media pages you have:

  • Personally created and managed, or
  • Operated on behalf of brands, creators, or businesses

Evidence of:

  • Consistent posting
  • Editing quality
  • Platform-native content (not generic exports)
  • Portfolios must be recent and clearly outline your role in the work.

Technical & Equipment Requirements (MANDATORY)

The successful applicant must have:

  • Fast, reliable internet connection suitable for:
  • Downloading large TV and raw video files
  • Uploading edited content to shared storage drives
  • Own high-spec computer or laptop, capable of:
  • Handling large video files
  • Smooth playback and rendering
  • Multi-tasking across editing and publishing tools

Professional video editing setup, including:

  • Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Adobe Premiere Pro (essential)
  • Adobe After Effects (advantageous)
  • Adobe Media Encoder (advantageous)
  • Backup internet and/or power supply strongly preferred
  • This role deals with large file sizes and tight turnaround times technical capability is critical.

  • Experience working with structured task boards (e.g. , Zoho)
