Social Media Specialist, Asia Pacific

We are looking for a highly motivated Social Media Specialist who will be accountable for delivering a social first, performance-driven presence across Asia Pacific market such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand from a Philippine base resource. This role owns both organic and paid social on Meta platforms, translating consumer insights and the buying journey into high-impact content and campaigns that increase brand visibility, engagement, qualified traffic, leads and revenue
What Is The Job All About
The Specialist combines strong SEO (Search Engine Optimization) /social-search thinking, advanced analytics, and exceptional AI fluency to accelerate content production, optimize performance, and continuously improve the full-funnel customer experience.
This role will be directly reporting to a Senior Area Marketing Manager, and to be based in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Your main responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Social-First Storytelling Create platform-native, scroll-stopping content for Meta (and supporting channels as required): static, carousel, stories, Reels, short-form video and copy. Use AI- Artificial Intelligence to ideate, script and iterate quickly while maintaining brand voice, accuracy and safety.
- Paid Social (Meta) Planning, Execution & Optimization Plan, execute and optimize paid media across Meta Ads Manager (awareness, consideration, lead gen, conversion). Own targeting, testing, budget pacing, creative iterations, pixel/UTM hygiene and performance optimization toward agreed Key performance indicators.
- Localisation & Market Enablement Initiate, coordinate and manage localization across APAC markets. Work closely with local marketing to ensure cultural relevance, compliance and tone-of-voice alignment; coordinate translations and approvals to secure best-in-class quality and speed.
- Social SEO + SEO-Led Content Distribution Apply keyword and search-intent thinking to social posts (captions, keywords, hashtags, titles) to improve discoverability. Partner with digital/web stakeholders to align content with SEO- Search Engine Optimization priorities, landing pages and conversion paths; drive qualified website traffic.
- Community Management & Brand Voice Monitor, listen and respond to audiences; build community trust, manage sentiment and escalate issues per playbooks. Keep a pulse on trends and cultural moments, participating in a brand-safe way that supports business goals.
- Analytics, Reporting & Insights Track and analyze organic + paid performance Produce weekly/monthly insights with clear actions; run test-and-learn (A/B) programs to improve creative and media efficiency.
- Market Research, Artificial Intelligence Innovation & Cross-functional Collaboration Stay updated on platform changes, Artificial Intelligence tools and best practices. Use AI to accelerate workflows (briefs, reporting summaries, content variants) and collaborate with marketing, service, sales and agencies to ensure brand consistency and alignment across Asia Pacific.
Your background:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related field.
- 5+ years proven experience in social media management, ideally covering both Business to Consumer and Business to Business.
- Strong Meta expertise: Meta Business Suite/Ads Manager, campaign setup, targeting, budgeting, creative testing, reporting and optimization.
- Strong analytics capability: platform analytics, UTM tagging, dashboards and insight storytelling.
- Strong SEO knowledge: keyword research, search intent, content optimization and measurement; ability to connect social activity to organic/search performance.
- Exceptional AI fluency: confident using AI tools for ideation, scripting, content variants, localization drafts and performance insights with strong quality control and brand-safety discipline.
- Proficiency with creative tools for design and editing (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite; CapCut/Premiere/After Effects or similar).
- Portfolio showcasing social-first creativity, results and evidence of performance improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written English; able to influence and collaborate in a matrix, multi-market environment.
- Understanding cultural nuances and market dynamics in APAC is a strong advantage.
