Retro vGames is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Media Marketing Specialist to lead our community engagement efforts within the US region. This role will be pivotal in developing and executing strategies to build, nurture, and engage our online gaming community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, community management, and the retro gaming industry, combined with a proven track record in growing and maintaining vibrant online communities.

As a Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and managing social media strategies that drive community growth, engagement, and loyalty for Retro vGames in the US market. You will oversee all aspects of community engagement, including content creation, interaction with users, influencer partnerships, and managing customer inquiries across social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, and many more.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Build, manage, and nurture an engaged online community of retro gaming enthusiasts, ensuring consistent interaction with followers, fans, and customers on a daily basis.

Create and curate engaging, relevant, and creative content tailored to the US gaming audience. This includes writing posts, creating graphics, running polls, hosting live streams, and collaborating with influencers to promote Retro vGames brand and products.

Develop and execute social media strategies to increase community engagement, followers, and brand awareness. Track performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve KPIs (engagement rate, reach, conversions, etc.).

Act as a liaison between the brand and community, addressing inquiries, feedback, or concerns in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot customer issues related to products, returns, or other service-related concerns.

Coordinate and manage online community events such as giveaways, challenges, gaming tournaments, and live streams. Promote sales, new product releases, or special promotions through creative social media campaigns.

Monitor, track, and analyze key community engagement metrics, providing regular reports to management on the health of the community, the effectiveness of campaigns, and overall growth.

Develop strong relationships with community members and influencers, turning passionate followers into brand advocates. Foster a positive brand image through consistent messaging and engagement.

Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer support teams to ensure alignment with the brand's voice and messaging across all platforms. Help drive cross-functional initiatives such as product launches and promotional campaigns.

At least 2-3 years of experience in social media management, community building, or digital marketing, preferably in the gaming or eCommerce industry.

A deep understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and others, with experience in creating platform-specific content and managing engagement.

Strong communication skills, with a proactive and friendly approach to customer interactions and the ability to handle customer feedback, questions, or complaints with professionalism and empathy.

Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for creating graphics, videos, and posts that resonate with the community. Experience in live streaming (Twitch, YouTube) or running online events is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an American English accent and tone that resonates with the target audience.

Ability to analyze social media data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve engagement and community health.

A genuine passion for retro games, gaming culture, and understanding the community's unique interests, preferences, and trends is a must.

Experience managing or moderating communities on platforms like Discord, Reddit, or gaming-specific forums.

Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.

Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and online advertising.

Experience in influencer marketing and managing partnerships with gaming influencers or streamers.
