Job Description
The Social Content Producer is responsible for development of Shopee's social media content most especially on Tiktok. The role oversees the end-to-end content production process, from trend spotting and concept development to scriptwriting, shoot direction, traveling for on-ground shoots, video editing, publishing, and on-cam performance. The role is user-facing, expected to create content and represent the brand on Shopee's social channels — capable of turning culturally relevant insights into platform-native content that audiences genuinely want to watch, interact with, and share.
The role is also responsible for developing content plans that amplify social engagement, shareability, and other business initiatives. The role also offers opportunities to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external creators, while leveraging data-driven insights to evaluate and optimize content performance.
Producing & Scripting
- Conceptualize and produce engagement-led content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook
- Write hooks, scripts, storyboards, captions, punchlines, and trend-based content that feel platform-native
- Experienced in content directing and talent handling
Shooting & Video Editing
- Edit short-form videos optimized for TikTok (cuts, captions, transitions, sounds, trending audio)
- Sets up basic lighting, framing, and audio setup
- Proficiency in editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar platforms
On-cam Presence & Performance
- Act as on-screen talent, host, or lead actor for content
- Flexible to do external locations, events, and site visits to produce on-ground content
Project & Production Management
- Collaborate with the team to plan and schedule content calendars and strategically time content releases to optimize reach and engagement
- Track content performance and recommend improvements based on engagement and analytics
- End-to-end fulfillment of legal, procurement, and finance requirements for campaign activities including compliance with ASC and DTI regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Multimedia, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in content creation, social media marketing, or creative production
- Background on brand marketing or creative agency work is a plus
- Active content creator on Tiktok
- Producing & Scripting
- Excellent copywriting and comedic timing for short-form content
- Deep understanding of trends, memes, Gen-Z humor, and Philippine internet culture
- Strong sense of producing viral content with use of pacing, hooks, retention, and audience psychology
- Shooting & Video Editing
- Advanced video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.)
- Strong understanding of TikTok-native video formats & storytelling
- On-cam Presence & Performance
- Comfortable appearing in front of the camera with strong personality and confidence
- Project & Production Management
- Highly organized with strong production management skills
- Can independently lead shoots and make creative decisions on-ground
- Able to work quickly without compromising creative quality
