Role Description This full-time, on-site Snr Business Development Manager role is based in Singapore and focuses on driving growth across Allianz's insurance and asset management offerings. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strategic relationships with key partners and corporate clients, and expanding market presence in the region. The Snr Business Development Manager will lead sales initiatives, prepare and deliver proposals and presentations, negotiate commercial terms, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction. Day-to-day activities include market analysis, pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting on performance against targets, as well as collaborating closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to align growth strategies with Allianz's overall objectives. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and representing Allianz at industry events and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales leadership skills, including experience in managing key accounts, growing pipelines, and achieving revenue targets.
- Strategic planning and market analysis capabilities, with the ability to identify opportunities, assess competitive landscapes, and develop go-to-market plans.
- Relationship management and negotiation skills, with a track record of building long-term partnerships and closing complex commercial deals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to tailor messages to senior stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Relevant experience in insurance, financial services, or asset management, ideally within regional or global organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment and to collaborate across functions and geographies.
- High level of integrity, customer focus, and results orientation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in standard business tools and CRM systems; familiarity with data-driven decision making and performance metrics.
