As an SMSF Accountant Reliever, you will play a key role in preparing basic Australian Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) accounting tasks while continuously learning Australian SMSF rules, software, and compliance standards. Working closely with and reporting to the SMSF Senior Accountant or SMSF Manager, you will help process financial transactions, support compliance, and ensure high accuracy across client deliverables.
Your Impact
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process investment transactions for client accounts.
- Financial & Tax Reporting: Prepare simple SMSF financial accounts and tax returns under direct supervision.
- Compliance Support: Assist in preparing thorough, high-quality compliance documentation.
- Software Mastery: Undertake hands-on training and build proficiency in industry-standard SMSF software such as Class and BGL.
- Quality & Progression: Accurately complete entry-level SMSF jobs, build domain expertise, and demonstrate readiness for expanded responsibilities.
What You Bring
- The Experience: Open to entry-level candidates with 0–1 years of AU SMSF experience looking to kickstart their career in Australian accounting. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply!
- The Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and active dedication to developing expertise in SMSF rules, compliance, and systems (Class, BGL).
- The Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail, high numerical accuracy, and a strong commitment to learning and professional development.
- Communication Prowess: Clear and effective written English communication skills for collaborating with managers and reporting team members.
