I. Purpose of the Position
This role is responsible for performing polysomnography/sleep study.
II. Key Result Areas | Duties and Responsibilities
A. Patient Care Administration
1. Collects, analyzes, and integrates patient information
2. Explains procedures and orients patients on sleep study testing
3. Takes and records vital signs needed for the procedure
B. Medical Efficiency
1. Performs accurate polysomnograph procedure
2. Follows procedural protocols to ensure appropriate data collection
3. Monitors patient safety by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
4. Generates accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical events
C. Equipment Maintenance
1. Ensures and maintains machine functionality
2. Performs minor machine troubleshooting
D. Administrative Efficiency
1. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
