Job Description

Job Summary

The Surveyor is responsible for conducting precise measurements and assessments at construction sites to determine property boundaries, topographical features, and the appropriate placement of structures. This role involves using surveying instruments and technology to ensure that construction projects align with architectural and engineering plans.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct land and building surveys using a variety of tools such as total stations, GPS systems, and levels.
  • Establish and mark site boundaries and reference points for construction activities.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering plans and transfer design data to the site.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction managers to ensure survey accuracy.
  • Monitor the progress of construction to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including maps, reports, and survey data.
  • Perform topographical and as-built surveys.
  • Verify elevation, alignment, and position of structures during and after construction.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations related to surveying and construction.

Degree or diploma in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a surveyor, ideally in construction.

Proficiency with surveying instruments and CAD software.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Willing and has ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
