Site Medical Nurse - NSCR Project

Role Description: The Site Medical Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in the North-South Commuter Railway Project, providing occupational health support to employees at construction and project sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting routine health assessments, monitoring workers fitness for duty, and managing first aid and emergency medical response on-site. The nurse will maintain accurate health records, support compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, and coordinate with external medical providers when referrals are necessary. Additional tasks include administering vaccinations as required by company protocols, conducting health education sessions, and collaborating with site management to identify and mitigate health risks. The role also involves ensuring proper stock, storage, and documentation of medical supplies and equipment, and participating in safety audits and incident reviews.

Qualifications

• Clinical and occupational health skills: ability to perform basic patient assessment, first aid, emergency response, vital signs monitoring, and health screenings.
• Workplace safety and compliance skills: knowledge of occupational health standards, incident reporting, risk assessment, and adherence to local health and safety regulations.
• Administrative and documentation skills: proficiency in maintaining medical records, preparing reports, managing medical inventory, and using basic office and health information systems.
• Communication and interpersonal skills: capacity to educate staff on health practices, coordinate with management and external providers, and support diverse teams in high-activity site environments.
• Education and credentials: licensed/registered nurse (Philippines) with a valid PRC license; bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent required.
• Experience: prior experience in occupational health, construction, industrial, or site-based nursing is strongly preferred.
• Other qualifications: willingness to work on-site at construction locations in the NSCR Project, ability to respond calmly under pressure, and commitment to inclusive
