Owner's Engineer Site Manager Integrated Waste Management Facility for a reputable international Consultancy (m/f/x)
Your Tasks
Fichtner is seeking an experienced Owner's Engineer Site Manager to oversee a Solid Waste Management / Biogas within Power Generation Project in the Philippines. The role represents the owner on-site, ensuring project delivery meets technical, contractual, and quality requirements while adhering to HSE standards and schedule commitments.
- Represent the owner on-site and ensure contractor compliance with contract, design, and quality standards.
- Lead, supervise and manage a team of Owners Site Engineers.
- Monitor construction progress, schedule adherence, and resource allocation.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, method statements, and technical site documentation.
- Conduct inspections, oversee testing, commissioning, and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
- Track and report project progress, risks, and issues to the owner.
- Coordinate between owner, contractor, consultants, and suppliers.
- Manage documentation, punch lists, and ensure smooth project handover.
Your Profile- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience as a Owners Engineer Site Manager working with an international consultancy in large-scale thermal power plant projects, covering the entire construction and commission process (10 years plus).
- Experience in integrated waste management or biogas facilities within power generation is an advantage but not required.
- International project experience required (ideally 2 projects).
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality control, and HSE standards.
- Ability to work on-site for extended periods and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, documentation, reporting and letter-writing skills.
- Motivated, objective-driven, with a methodological and structured approach to problem-solving and team management.
- Willing and able to work efficiently in a modern IT environment including Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint) and automated workflows for documentation and task management.
