Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Site Manager to lead the execution of a large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) project in the UAE. The ideal candidate will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle - from planning and procurement to construction and commissioning - ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder coordination, and technical expertise in solar energy systems, with a focus on utility-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of large-scale solar PV projects, from planning to commissioning.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet contractual obligations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and approvals.
- Oversee site activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Lead site mobilization, civil works, structural installations, and electrical integration.
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Monitor construction progress, resolve on-site issues, and ensure compliance with HSE and QA/QC standards.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and client teams to align project goals.
- Prepare and present progress reports, budgets, and risk assessments to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, permitting, and grid connection requirements.
- Identify critical path and critical activities, escalating issues for timely resolution.
- Participate in all internal, client, and vendor progress meetings.
- Ensure timely submission of all client reports.
- Monitor subcontractor mobilization and performance to ensure planned progress of works.
- Analyze project progress, resource efficiency, and consumption of mobilized assets.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction project management, with 5+ years in solar PV projects.
- Proven track record in managing utility-scale solar projects in the Middle East.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, solar technologies, and grid integration.
