We are seeking an experienced Site Government Relations Supervisor to oversee all government-related activities and regulatory compliance at our site or plant level. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and compliant operations by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with local government units (LGUs), regulatory agencies, and the broader community. As a key point of contact for government interactions, you will ensure that all necessary permits are acquired and renewed on time, while also managing crisis communications and stakeholder engagement for the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Relations and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and nurture relationships with local and national government offices, regulators, and officials.
- Serve as the primary or secondary point of contact for all government engagement matters, especially for permits and licenses.
- Support government engagements, including site visits, meetings, and follow-ups.
- Represent the company in public-facing engagements, such as community or regulatory meetings when required.
Regulatory Compliance and Permitting:
- Coordinate the processing of permits, licenses, clearances, and certifications necessary for operations.
- Maintain a tracking system for permit/license renewals, expirations, and regulatory deadlines.
- Work with government agencies and regulatory bodies to clarify requirements and follow up on pending applications.
- Ensure that all required documentation for permits/licensing is submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitoring and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze changes in regulations, legislation, and policies that may affect site operations.
- Provide updates on regulatory changes and potential impacts to senior management.
- Support internal reviews of regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a database of relevant regulations, government notices, and circulars.
Internal Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with operations and legal/compliance teams to gather necessary information for regulatory compliance.
- Provide clear and concise communication on regulatory requirements to all relevant departments.
- Prepare communication materials regarding regulatory changes and permit/license status.
- Keep accurate records of government contacts, permit/license documentation, and ongoing regulatory interactions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in government relations, regulatory compliance, or external affairs.
- Strong familiarity with permitting and licensing processes, especially with agencies like the FDA, DENR, DOLE, and LGUs.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and crisis communication.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
