We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Civil Engineer to oversee and coordinate on-site construction activities for an affordable housing development project. The role is responsible for ensuring that construction works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, technical specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision and Construction Management
- Supervise and monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with engineering standards, project requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Oversee site activities including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities, and housing construction.
Project Coordination and Implementation
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Assist in resolving technical issues, site conflicts, and construction challenges.
- Ensure proper implementation of project schedules and construction methodologies.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor construction progress, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Review contractor accomplishments and verify progress billing against actual site accomplishments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on project status, progress, and issues.
Quality Control and Compliance
- Conduct inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet required quality standards.
- Document site activities, changes, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and government regulations.
Survey and Technical Support
- Assist in site layout verification, measurements, and elevation checks.
- Ensure proper implementation of plans, alignments, and project benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC Registered).
- At least 25 years of experience in site engineering, construction, or land development projects.
- Experience in residential subdivision or affordable housing projects is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, and project coordination.
- Good understanding of plans, specifications, and construction standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Must be willing to be assigned in Lipa, Batangas.
