The Site Cost Engineer will be responsible for accurately estimating and managing the costs of construction projects, analyzing project specifications, and ensuring projects are completed within budget. Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed cost estimation and analysis for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to develop accurate budgets and implement cost control strategies.
- Monitor project expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports and forecasts, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Review contract documents to ensure compliance with budgetary requirements and cost guidelines.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Analyze and manage change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Provide technical support to on-site teams regarding cost-related issues.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify potential cost implications, and resolve any cost-related concerns.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction cost management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a cost engineer, quantity surveyor, or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction cost estimation methods, including quantity take-offs and pricing analysis.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
