Your Role:
As the
Signage Maintenance & Cleaning Coordinator, you will manage all aspects of signage maintenance, repairs, modifications, and cleaning contracts across United Petroleum's national network of sites (United and Astron branded), including forecourt and internal shop signage. This role is essential for safeguarding brand integrity while balancing cost performance and compliance.
You will:
- Drive contractor performance to ensure obligations and United standards are delivered within strict timeframes
- Develop, implement, and improve site presentation and branding cleanliness standards across all sites
- Manage signage contracts and build strong working relationships with contractors, service providers, and internal teams
- Assist in project planning, system improvements, and KPI development
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and WPCG standards
- Maintain and manage the CMMS system, including work orders, contractor accounts, and invoices, ensuring SOPs and KPIs are met
- Maintain accurate records of all planned maintenance and completed work
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity gains
- Track key metrics for safety, efficiency, and cost performance and report to Line Manager
- Implement proactive signage cleaning and maintenance programs and optimize budgets
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging MC (CMMS), Safety Culture, and other tools
What You Need:
Non-negotiables
- Experience in a high-volume, multi-site signage maintenance environment
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and signage-related legislation
- Ability to read, interpret, and manage contracts and contractor obligations
- Risk identification and implementation of appropriate safety controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage contractors and internal stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
Preferred skills/expertise
- Experience in retail site operations, preferably in trade-related, petrol, or convenience industries
- Commercial acumen to interpret contractor reports, pricing, and quotations
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and time-management skills
- Experience tracking compliance, progress, and KPI reporting
