Your Role:

Signage maintenance covers wear and tear, LEDu0027s, forecourt signage controllers, branding upgrades and changes, accident damage, breakage, site closures, site openings and rebranding of sites for external signage like canopies, price boards and pumps and also internal shop signage for u0027Pie Faceu0027, u0027Quick-Stopu0027, u0027Brunettiu0027 and u0027Coffeeu0027.

A hands-on role within the R&M team, where you will manage all aspects of signage maintenance, repairs, modifications and signage cleaning contracts and cost control on a National scale.

Management of contractor engagement for all signage-related repairs and maintenance, quotes, attendance and pricing are key components of the role. Your mission involves designing proactive cleaning maintenance programs, optimizing budgets, managing service providers and ensuring seamless operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance and performance.

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, contractor management experience, commercial acumen, a solution-focused mindset and be able to react and work quickly and manage constant changing priorities to achieve the best outcome for the Business.

The responsibilities of the Signage Maintenance & Cleaning Coordinator - will include but not be limited to:

• Driving contractor performance, ensuring they deliver on quoted obligations and company standards within strict timeframes.
• Develop and improve the companyu0027s standards for site presentation and branding cleanliness across the network.
• Develop new signage contracts and contractors, manage and strengthen working relationships with both new and existing service providers and teams to foster collaboration, reduce inefficiencies and align performance with business objectives and priorities.
• Assist in the development of project plans, system improvements and KPIu0027s.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practice.
• Ensure robust safety protocols and all work completed in accordance with WPCG Standards (Clearance Issuer, Minor Control Checklists and Permit Writing as required).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with multi discipline team members.
• Improved equipment reliability, availability, and asset uptime.
• Reduced long-term cleaning maintenance costs, through pro-active contract management, structure and pricing.
• Budget planning, analysis and regular reporting.
• Maintain positive relationships through various communication channels (both internal and external).
• Maintain and manage the CMMS system, ensuring all contractors, accounts, work orders and invoices are processed according to SOPu0027s and KPIu0027s.
• Maintain records of all planned maintenance processes and work orders.
• Regularly assess and update SOPu0027s to enhance safety, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and reducing costs.
• Implement innovative solutions to improve productivity and resource utilisation focus on utilisation of existing tools such as MC (CMMS) and Safety Culture and/or new systems as they are developed and rolled out.
• Track key metrics to measure safety gains and cost savings and ensure these are reported through your Line Manager to the Business.

Non-negotiables

• Experience in a high-volume, multi-site signage maintenance environment.
• Understand and/or could learn and interpret relevant legislation, regarding signage, and have the ability to understand the value of procedural excellence and accreditation in high-risk safety environments.
• Ability to read and understand contracts, interpret Contractor obligations, and ensure that contracted services are fully delivered.
• Ability to identify risks associated with signage maintenance and cleaning-related works and implement appropriate safety controls.
• Ensure timely delivery of compliance, progress, and analysis reports for targets and KPIs.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret contractor reports in detail, pricing and quotations.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Preferably retail site experience or equivalent, preferably in a trade-related and / or petrol and convenience-related business.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with both contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to convey information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver effective resolutions.
• Proficiency in prioritizing and managing tasks across multiple disciplines.
• Skilled in time management, planning, and goal setting to ensure task completion.
