Shopify Full Stack Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Shopify themes and custom apps.
• Implement and manage third-party API integrations to enhance Shopify functionalities.
• Design and build user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
• Create and maintain secure, high-performance server-side logic and functionalities.
• Optimize front-end and back-end performance for speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the entire stack
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of both front-end and back-end systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code for both client-side and server side applications.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Shopify's platform, APIs, and full stack development technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and improvements.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.
• Monitor and improve the security of the entire stack.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues related to the full stack.
• Work closely with designers to implement visual designs accurately and effectively.

Profile

• Proven experience as a full stack developer, preferably with Shopify.
• 3-7 years of experience in technical development roles
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of Liquid for customizing Shopify themes.
• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or PHP.
• Experience with Shopify's REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Knowledge of web server technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of e-commerce principles and best practices.
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
