Shift Mechanical Engineer

The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Shift Engineer to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is crucial for overseeing and assisting in the operations of FME to ensure all related repairs and maintenance activity is executed properly. They will also be on duty during night shift, weekend, or holidays. A Shift Engineer supervises or leads a team of assistant, operational, and technical engineers including third party service provider on an assigned shift to ensure the work is completed within established timing, quality, and cost standards.

What's The Role All About

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Monitoring and addressing daily site concerns and issues raised by internal and external customers.

- Manages the deployment and daily activities of outsourced facilities service provider to ensure efficient compliance of the agreed service level agreements.

- Overseeing projects and construction activities in collaboration with other department and specially during weekend, holidays, and night shift.

- Oversee the operations on a 24/7 to ensure all engineering support will be provided to stakeholders on a real time.

Who Are We Looking For

An effective Shift Engineer must possess the following skills:

- Engineer Inspections: Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures and make recommendations to senior colleagues / facilities and engineering on the remedial and long term solution works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

- Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.

- Product and Solution Development: Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.

- Technical Troubleshooting: Manage technical troubleshooting projects, ensuring effective diagnosis of technical issues with equipment and experiments and the development of effective solutions.

- Technical Developments Recommendation: Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/applications software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users needs.

Ideally, a candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with Mechanical Engineer PRC License who is amenable to work in shifting schedules. Preferably, candidate must have a certification of Safety Officer 2.
