Responsible for creating garment samples based on design specifications, ensuring accuracy in construction, fit, and quality before mass production.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Sew and assemble garment samples according to patterns and design instructions
- Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and sample requests
- Work closely with the design and pattern-making team
- Operate sewing machines and other garment equipment efficiently
- Suggest improvements in construction for better quality and production efficiency
- Ensure accuracy in measurements, stitching, and finishing
- Perform adjustments and alterations on samples as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of tools and materials
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sewing garments (preferably sample making)
- Skilled in using industrial sewing machines
- Knowledge of garment construction and fabric handling
- Ability to read and understand patterns and technical specs
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
