ServiceNow Tester (ServiceNow ATF)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain ATF test suites.

• Create reusable test steps and modular test cases.

• Automate regression, integration, and functional testing.

• Configure test data and test environments.

• Analyze ATF execution results and troubleshoot failures.

• Experience with data-driven and end-to-end automated testing.

KEY SKILLS

Non-negotiable/Required

• 5+ years of ServiceNow testing experience.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).

• Experience testing ServiceNow platform implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.

• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Experience working with multiple ServiceNow modules such as:

o CSM

o Service Portal

o Employee Center

Technical Skills

ServiceNow ATF

· Design, develop, execute, and maintain ATF test suites.

Testing Expertise

· Test planning and test strategy development.

Integration Testing Experience

Experience validating integrations with:

· REST APIs

· Selenium (preferred)

Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills

· Ability to identify root causes of test failures.

· Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to review logs and system-generated errors.

· Experience validating complex workflows and business processes.

Certifications (Preferred)

· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

· ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)

· ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

· ServiceNow Micro-Certification: Automated Test Framework

· ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Tester Certification

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Experience mentoring junior testers and test automation engineers.

· Strong documentation and reporting skills.

· Ability to collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts.

Typical Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain ATF automated test cases.

· Create automated regression suites for ServiceNow releases and upgrades.

· Validate customizations, configurations, and integrations.

· Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and testing activities.

· Review requirements and create test scenarios and test scripts.

· Track, document, and report defects.

· Support release validation and production deployment testing.

· Improve testing standards, frameworks, and automation coverage.
