Job Description
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Architect to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's CMDB environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow CMDB configuration, CSDM, governance, integrations, and data quality management, along with the ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
CMDB Design & Architecture
Design, develop, and manage the ServiceNow CMDB data model aligned with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) standards
Define CMDB governance, standards, and best practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
Establish data normalization and reconciliation strategies
Architect integrations between CMDB and other ServiceNow modules, including ITSM and ITOM, as well as third-party systems
Implement and maintain Service Mapping to support service visibility and infrastructure relationships
Implementation & Administration
Lead CMDB configuration, data onboarding, cleansing, and transformation activities
Configure and manage discovery sources for automated CI population
Monitor CMDB health through regular audits, remediation, and data quality checks
Troubleshoot and resolve CMDB-related issues and discrepancies
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Act as the CMDB Subject Matter Expert (SME) across technical and non-technical teams
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver CMDB solutions aligned with business needs
Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and CMDB process training
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization within the CMDB environment
Support strategic initiatives and ServiceNow roadmap activities
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs related to CMDB health and compliance
Qualifications
Proven experience in ServiceNow CMDB configuration and administration
Strong experience designing and managing CMDB data models using CSDM
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations is highly preferred
Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
