Role Summary

Security Bank Corporation (SBC) is embarking on one of its most critical strategic programs for 20262027: replacing the bank's core Card Management System (CMS) and modernizing our credit and debit card capabilities, including xPay (Apple Pay, Google Pay) and future digital wallet integrations.

We are looking for a Retail Delivery Head Cards to lead the end-to-end delivery of this transformation. This role will also own the delivery of all major technology change initiatives originating from the cards business, beyond the CMS replacement. This is a senior delivery leadership role and will act as the #2 (2IC) to the CTO Retail Banking, with direct exposure to the Head of Cards Business, Head of Retail Business, Group CTO, and CEO.

You will own the delivery of the CMS replacement and related card technology roadmap, managing complex vendor ecosystems, minimizing business disruption, and ensuring Security Bank's card products remain competitive and future-ready.

The Retail Service Delivery Head Unsecured Lending, leads the Retail IT division's solutions and delivery portfolio for unsecured products (credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit and related propositions). The role is accountable for defining and delivering the technology roadmap for unsecured lending using third-party platforms (e.g., Card Management System, loan servicing, originations, collections, rewards, digital channels), ensuring they are effectively implemented, integrated, and enhanced to support the bank's growth strategy.

A key focus of this role is to lead the solutions and delivery agenda for SBC's multi-year CMS replacement and associated unsecured lending transformation, ensuring safe migration from legacy platforms, strong vendor performance, and minimal disruption to customers and business operations.

The role does not own in-house software development; instead, it focuses on solution design, integration, vendor delivery management, and end-to-end program execution. S/He is responsible for leading and inspiring a top-tier BU IT organisation (delivery managers, BAs, solution leads, test leads) by coaching, developing and mentoring the team to enhance their capabilities.

Job Qualifications

Years of Work Experience

  • 15 years of experience in banking / financial services technology and change, with significant experience leading solutions and delivery for unsecured lending (credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit) using third-party platforms.
  • Proven track record in large, complex platform implementation or replacement programs (e.g., CMS, loan management or originations systems), including multi-phase migrations and high-risk cutovers.

Educational Attainment / Required Course

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree in management or business administration is preferred.

Required / Preferred Certifications / Professional Licenses

Preferred (not mandatory, adjust to SBC standards):

  • Project / Program Management: PMP, PgMP, Prince2, SAFe / Agile certifications.
  • IT Service Management: ITIL or equivalent.
  • Security / Compliance awareness: certifications or training related to PCI DSS, cyber security, or data privacy are an advantage.

Field of Specialization

  • Unsecured lending domain:
  • Credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit, instalment / BNPL, collections and recoveries, rewards / loyalty.
  • Third-party platform delivery:
  • Card Management Systems, loan servicing systems, originations/LOS, collections platforms, rewards and digital servicing solutions.
  • Scheme and payments integration (Mastercard, Visa, xPay/tokenisation, authorisation & clearing flows) on the issuer side.
  • Solution & delivery management:
  • End-to-end solution design and integration using third-party products.
  • Portfolio / program / project management for technology change in a banking context.
  • Understanding of enterprise and integration architecture concepts (APIs, middleware, event-driven, cloud-hosted platforms) sufficient to make informed delivery decisions.
  • Strong vendor governance and contract/SLA management.
