The SEO Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our content strategy to enhance our online presence and drive traffic to our websites. This role requires a creative individual with excellent writing skills and a strong understanding of SEO and content marketing. The ideal candidate will have experience with keyword research, competitive analysis, and using various digital tools to track and improve website performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write, proofread, and edit long-form articles and content to be published on our websites.
- Proofread and optimize current website content, including page titles, meta descriptions, H1 tags, alt texts, anchor text, and more.
- Build and execute backlinking strategies to improve search engine rankings.
- Develop and maintain a content strategy and calendar that aligns with business goals.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with the overall marketing strategy.
- Utilize reporting and analysis tools to generate reports tracking the business impact of SEO initiatives, including keyword rankings and website traffic.
- Perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Utilize tools like Search Console, SEMRush, and Ahrefs to monitor and improve SEO performance.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of WordPress for blog posting.
- Utilize web analytics tools like Google Analytics to track KPIs and derive actionable insights.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to content marketing.
- Familiarity with on-page and off-page SEO techniques.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress, particularly for blog posting.
- Familiarity with SEO tools.
- Proficient in web analytics tools like Google Analytics and understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ability to perform competitive analysis and derive insights to improve content strategy.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Proficient in Word/Google Docs for content creation and editing.
- Technology Requirements: Own Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above) with an internet connection of at least 10 Mbps.
- Open to working Pacific Standard time.
