Job Overview
Our client is looking for a practical, proactive, and commercially focused SEO & Google Ads Specialist to improve the organic search visibility and paid performance of their website. The right candidate understands that digital marketing is not just about traffic, but about supporting product sales, enquiries, quote requests, and overall commercial growth. You will balance strategy with hands-on implementation, ensuring that all campaigns generate relevant visitors and profitable results.

Responsibilities
- SEO Management: Conduct full website audits, perform keyword research by category, and optimize Shopify product and collection pages. Improve on-page elements, internal linking, and technical SEO issues (broken links, redirects, page speed).
- Google Ads: Review and manage Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns. Maintain negative keyword lists, improve ad copy and landing page relevance, and optimize bidding strategies to improve ROAS.
- Merchant Centre & Product Feed: Review Google Merchant Centre setup, fix feed issues, and optimize product titles and descriptions for better Shopping performance, specifically for PPE and safety product ranges.
- Conversion Tracking & Reporting: Utilize GA4, GTM, and Google Search Console to track online orders, quote requests, and lead submissions. Provide clear, action-focused reports that highlight revenue drivers and areas of wasted spend.
- Content & Strategy: Help create SEO-led content ideas that support the sales strategy and identify opportunities to rank for high-intent commercial search terms.
Requirements
- At least 2 years hands-on experience in both SEO and Google Ads.
- Proven experience working with ecommerce websites, ideally using Shopify.
- Experience managing Google Shopping campaigns and Performance Max campaigns.
- Proficiency in Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics 4, and Google Search Console.
- Strong understanding of Google Tag Manager.
- Ability to write SEO-friendly website content and optimize landing pages.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
Qualifications
- Experience in B2B ecommerce or industrial sectors (PPE, safety products, workwear, etc.).
- Familiarity with HubSpot or Shopify Plus.
- Experience with Looker Studio for data visualization.
- Background in Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) and technical SEO.
