Job Summary:
The SEO & Social Media Specialist role reports to the Social Media Marketing Manager and is responsible for growing Faith Works organic search visibility and expanding our reach across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn—translating evidence-informed content into engaging, accessible marketing that supports awareness and client inquiries.
This is a 100% remote, full-time position with a regular work schedule of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
Key Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy & Organic Growth
- Conduct keyword research focused on mental health needs, search intent, and local/service-related queries (as applicable).
- Optimize website pages and content for organic visibility (titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, schema where relevant).
- Support content strategy by mapping topics to service pages, blog posts, and high-intent landing pages.
- Monitor and report SEO performance (rankings, organic traffic, CTR, engagement, conversions/leads).
- Identify technical and on-page SEO improvement opportunities in collaboration with web/marketing teams.
SEO-Driven Content & Landing Page Optimization
- Coordinate or write SEO content briefs for blogs, service pages, FAQs, and lead magnets (e.g., guides/resources).
- Ensure content supports user journeys (awareness → consideration → inquiry/contact).
- Improve existing content through refreshes and repurposing to boost performance over time.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and/or subject matter reviewers to ensure marketing content is accurate and appropriate.
Social Media Strategy & Channel Execution (Mental Health Context)
- Plan and publish content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn with consistency and brand voice alignment.
- Create SEO-informed social copy and content themes that reinforce website topics and resources.
- Convert content into multiple formats (short captions, carousels, short-form videos, long-form posts, descriptions).
- Manage engagement routines: respond to comments/messages within policy, moderate community interactions, and escalate as needed.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar and posting schedule aligned with campaigns and seasonal topics.
YouTube & Video Content Optimization
- Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails (where applicable) to support discoverability.
- Create/coordinate scripts or outlines that align with audience needs and platform best practices.
- Build playlists and organize content to improve watch time and user navigation to our resources/services.
Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track KPIs across SEO and social channels (organic traffic, search CTR, engagement, reach, clicks, watch time, lead/contact actions).
- Use learnings to refine content topics, posting cadence, and distribution approach.
- Produce regular reports with clear insights and next-step recommendations.
Collaboration & Compliance in Healthcare Marketing
- Partner with clinical, operations, and design teams to ensure messaging aligns with organizational standards.
- Work with leadership to apply appropriate healthcare/mental health marketing guidelines and disclaimers.
- Ensure content does not provide clinical advice beyond policy and uses appropriate, supportive language.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on approvals and review workflows for sensitive topics.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Education Requirements (Recommended)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Psychology/Health Communications (preferred), or a related field
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., relevant certifications plus 3+ years hands-on SEO + social media experience)
Helpful/Relevant Coursework (Optional)
- SEO / Digital marketing
- Content strategy & copywriting
- Analytics (GA4, reporting, KPI tracking)
- Healthcare/health communications (beneficial for mental health organizations)
Certifications (Optional, but Nice to Have)
- Google Analytics (GA4) certification or equivalent analytics training
- Google Search Console / SEO training (via Google or recognized SEO providers)
- HubSpot or Meta digital marketing/social certifications (any relevant platform training)
Required Experience/Skills
- 3+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing with a strong SEO focus.
- Demonstrated results improving organic performance (e.g., traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions/leads).
- Strong keyword research and on-page SEO skills.
- Experience managing multiple social platforms (especially Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn).
- Strong analytics skills using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console (plus SEO tools like Ahrefs/Semrush is a plus).
- Excellent writing, editing, and content planning skills (ability to translate complex topics into accessible messaging).
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Familiarity with content review/approval processes and compliant messaging practices.
- Technical SEO exposure (site performance, crawl/indexing concepts, structured data).
- Basic familiarity with content production for social/video (creative brief → caption/script → publishing workflow).
- Experience supporting healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries.
Success Metrics
- SEO: Growth in organic traffic, keyword visibility, improved CTR on target pages, and increased lead/contact actions from organic users.
- Social: Increased engagement and reach, higher click-through rates to our resources/services, and improved performance of top content themes.
- YouTube: Increased views/watch time, improved search discoverability (titles/descriptions optimizing outcomes), and better conversions to site resources.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods working at a computer or mobile device.
