The Senior Windows Server Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the implementation, operations, and maintenance of enterprise Azure Active Directory, Windows Servers and cloud solutions including Microsoft Office 365 and its related core technologies, including: ADFS, AAD Connect, and Exchange. The person in this role will also be responsible for designing highly available and secure enterprise infrastructure solutions, exploration of new technologies, improving the current IT infrastructure, and integration of new solutions into existing systems.
The role will help define how these capabilities will be built and ensure timely delivery of these solutions. They will participate in planning and will define requirements in collaboration with business owners and product managers to ensure that the time and effort of the Enterprise Infrastructure Services team is producing the greatest value and is in alignment with the overall infrastructure strategy.
The ideal candidate will be technology savvy with strong business skills that can translate vision and strategy into effective technology change by creating, communicating, and improving the key requirements and models that describe the enterprises future state and enable its evolution. Collaboration with security and compliance teams is also essential to ensure the solutions align with industry standards, company policies, and best practice design frameworks.
Responsibilities
- SME for Azure Active Directory, Azure active Directory Federation Service (ADFS), On-Prem Exchange, Exchange Online, Teams, and other O365 workloads.
- Must have real-world, hands-on experience delivering messaging and collaboration solutions utilizing Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 within complex environments.
- Must have real-world experience helping to managing and maintaining AD, GPO's etc.
- Must have experience with Azure AD, AAD Connect, Intune, and Cloud App Security.
- Extensive experience with automating various AAD and Mailbox tasks as well as generating custom reports via PowerShell.
- Must have experience in Managing On-premises servers and AWS Windows EC2 instances.
- SME-subject matter expert in infrastructure architecture and deployment principles.
- Understanding of system dependencies and interrelation to the business.
- Ability to perform capacity planning and analysis of infrastructure systems.
- Analyzing complex cross functional and cross platform issues.
- Self-starter, with strong aptitude towards rigorous testing and validation of work
- Resolve escalated issues from the IT Service Desk and other IT departments.
- Abide by all Change Management, Service Management and Incident Management processes and procedures. Attend Change Approval Board (CAB) meetings, and Incident Management conference calls as needed.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation and respond to business emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, MS Exchange, and Microsoft Windows other platforms
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, testing complex infrastructure architecture solutions to support distributed, scalable, and highly available applications
- Microsoft M365/O365 and cloud hosted technologies
- Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange Server administration
- Hands on experience on AWS Technology i.e. (S3, EC2, RDS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Load Balancer, Auto scaling, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, AWS Control Tower)
- VMWare virtualization technology.
- Infrastructure Automation via Scripting or automation tool sets
- DNS management of zones, hosts, and mail related entries
- Email Security Solutions utilizing Proofpoint
- Single Sign On (SSO) integration leveraging MFA technologies such as Cisco Duo

- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, GDPR is a plus
