About The Client (AU)
A family run business started with supplying steel, aluminium and stainless steel solutions to Australia's signage industry. Focused on producing cost effective structures with high quality workmanship was our mission on day one and continues to this day. Since 2016, our company has expanded operations to supply to the construction industry.
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a leading High-End Residential and Commercial Windows,Doors and Facades manufacturer. You will interpret complex architectural drawings, compile detailed bills of quantities, and prepare highly accurate quotations for custom windows, doors and facades
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret architectural drawings, window schedules, and engineering specifications.
- Apply expert product knowledge of lwindow framing systems (e.g., Alspec, AWS, Darley, Capral ) and glazing performance (acoustic, wind, and energy ratings).
- Prepare detailed, end-to-end quotations and cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and installation.
- Finalisation of fabrication ready documentation based on construction ready plans and final onsite measurements
- Liaise with builders, architects, and internal project managers to clarify project scopes.
- Ensure all estimates comply with Australian Standards and building codes. Mapping solutions to Australian Standards AS 1288 and AS 2047.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in Residential or Commercial architectural or drafting or working with CAD or BIM software
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimating, BOM creation and construction ready detailing
- Strong understanding of basic building requirements and construction practices.
Highly Favourable:
- 1-3+ years of estimating experience in the aluminium windows, doors and facades industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimating and window software (e.g., Logikal, V6, or similar).
- Understanding of Australian building standards and construction practices (AS 1288 and AS 2047).
Key requirements for this role include:
- Ability to develop Estimations, Quotes and BOM for Windows and Doors
- Ability to read architectural plans and window design reports (Australian Centric)
- Using Energy Reports , AS 1288 and AS 2407 to map correct glass and window frame solutions (Australian centric)
- Experience with LogiKal software or equivalent (V6, windowmaker etc..)
- Additional Training will be provided for successful candidates
Work Schedule (Dayshift)
- Monday to Friday (7AM-4PM; Manila Time)
Work Setup (WFH)
- Permanent Homebased
- Candidate's are expected to have a conducive (quiet, distraction-free) dedicated workspace
- Equipment will be provided by the company
- Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
