Your Role

As a Senior Video Editor, you will take ownership of story-driven video projects from raw footage to final delivery, creating high-quality brand films, documentaries, explainers, and short-form social content. Working closely with the Creative Lead and production team, you'll shape compelling narratives, maintain premium production standards, and contribute creative insights that elevate every project.

Specifically, You Will

  • Edit 30–180 second storytelling videos, including brand films, explainers, documentaries, and short-form social content.
  • Transform raw footage and interview material into compelling narratives with engaging pacing and structure.
  • Make creative decisions around storytelling, music, sound design, pacing, and rhythm that enhance audience engagement.
  • Perform professional color correction, color grading, audio balancing, and final finishing.
  • Maintain visual consistency with each client's brand identity and creative direction.
  • Interpret creative briefs independently and deliver polished first cuts requiring minimal revisions.
  • Implement client and internal feedback accurately while meeting project deadlines.
  • Organize media assets, project files, and exports using established file management standards.
  • Prepare Premiere Pro project files for seamless collaboration and handoff to other editors.
  • Communicate project progress, timelines, and blockers proactively through collaboration tools such as Google Chat and Monday.com.
  • Participate in creative reviews and contribute ideas to strengthen storytelling and overall production quality.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet premium quality standards while consistently meeting production schedules.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Minimum 4–5 years of professional video editing experience in commercial, branded, documentary, or corporate productions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong experience in storytelling, narrative editing, pacing, and interview-driven content.
  • Excellent color grading, audio mixing, and post-production finishing skills.
  • Strong understanding of cinematic storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Excellent English communication skills with the ability to interpret tone, emotion, and narrative from interview footage.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple editing projects independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent media management and workflow discipline.
  • Experience working remotely with international clients or distributed creative teams.

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Experience using Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animation.
  • Experience editing content for social media, digital marketing, corporate branding, or documentary productions.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Monday.com, Google Workspace, or similar collaboration tools.
  • Experience working with Australian, US, or international clients.
  • Strong understanding of brand storytelling, content marketing, and social-first video strategies.
  • Ability to provide creative direction and collaborate with producers, creatives, and stakeholders throughout the production process.
  • Passion for storytelling with a continuous desire to improve editing techniques and creative execution.
