Role:
- Edit short-form paid ads for Meta (Reels, Feed), TikTok (Spark Ads, organic-style), YouTube (Shorts, pre-roll), and Amazon (Sponsored Brands Video, Posts, A+ video modules)
- Turn raw UGC footage, stock, product shots, and scripts into finished ads within 24–48 hour turnaround
- Produce multiple hook and angle variations per concept (typically 3–8 cuts per brief)
- Cut platform-native formats: 9:16 for Reels/TikTok/Shorts, 1:1 and 16:9 for feed and Amazon
- Apply motion graphics, captions, sound design, and pacing techniques (pattern interrupts, zooms, jump cuts, text overlays) that match what's winning in our category
- Iterate on live ads based on performance data — faster hooks, new CTAs, tighter cuts
- Maintain an organized footage library, project files, and version control across brands
- Occasionally edit longer-form content: YouTube mid-roll ads, Amazon Brand Story videos, listing videos, retail sell-in decks
Requirements:
- 3+ years editing paid social ads, with a portfolio demonstrating Meta/TikTok performance work (not wedding videos, not corporate, not YouTube long-form)
- Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro; proficient in After Effects and CapCut
- Strong instinct for performance creative — you can watch a top-performing ad and articulate why it works
- Comfortable with high volume and fast turnaround; you don't polish one hero edit for a week
- Fluent written and spoken English; able to communicate async in Slack/Loom and sync on calls
- Reliable internet and a modern editing rig
- At least 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern time
Bonus:
- Experience editing for DTC / CPG / beauty / wellness brands
- Worked within performance creative frameworks (hook/body/CTA breakdowns, modular ad systems)
- Basic motion design, Figma, or Photoshop skills
- Familiarity with Amazon video creative specs and platform policies
- Sound design chops; knowledge of royalty-free and platform-safe music libraries
