Senior US Tax Accountant

Location: Philippines
Work Arrangement: Remote, Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday | 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM PHT
Salary Range: Php 95,000 - Php 159,000

We are seeking an expert, highly technical Senior US Tax Accountant to manage complex tax preparation, quality assurance reviews, and tax planning engagements for North American client portfolios. You will independently execute and review US Federal and multi-state tax returns, research complex tax provisions, resolve technical issues, and mentor tax staff.

Your Impact

  • Tax Preparation & Quality Review: Prepare and review medium-to-high complexity US federal and multi-state tax returns across individual (Form 1040), partnership (Form 1065), S Corporation (Form 1120-S), and C Corporation (Form 1120) structures.
  • Technical Research & Advisory: Research complex US tax laws, Treasury regulations, and IRS rulings to resolve tax discrepancies, identify tax planning opportunities, and optimize client positions.
  • Staff Guidance & Mentorship: Review workpapers prepared by tax staff, provide constructive technical guidance, enforce quality assurance standards, and promote best practices within the team.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement: Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders and US clients to gather financial records, perform trial balance adjustments, and streamline tax compliance workflows.

What You Bring

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is strongly preferred.
  • The Experience:6+ years of solid US tax return preparation and review experience gained specifically within a US public accounting firm environment.
  • Software Mastery: Significant hands-on experience using UltraTax and QuickBooks Online alongside Microsoft Office.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of US federal regulations, multi-state tax filings, entity classification rules, and complex individual and corporate tax structures.
  • Core Competencies: Strong leadership capabilities, high attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and superior written and verbal English communication.
