Job Description

The Senior UX Designer's responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Cross-Product UX Leadership and Design Direction

  • Provide UX leadership across multiple digital products and initiatives rather than serving as the designer for a single product team.

  • Set direction for UX approaches, methods, and design quality across teams to promote coherent and high-quality user experiences.

  • Guide and support other UX designers in shaping user journeys, interaction models, interface patterns, and design decisions.

  • Review design outputs across teams and provide constructive feedback to improve usability, consistency, and overall design quality.

  • Help teams navigate ambiguity, frame design problems effectively, and make sound user-centered design decisions.

  • Promote convergence across product teams so that similar problems are solved in consistent ways where appropriate.

Design Systems and Shared Experience Standards

  • Lead the development, adoption, and continuous improvement of a unified design system, reusable component library, and shared UX patterns for use across product teams.

  • Define and maintain standards for interaction patterns, visual consistency, accessibility, and design documentation to reduce fragmentation across products.

  • Drive adoption of shared design patterns and reusable components across teams to avoid duplication and inconsistent user experiences.

  • Identify gaps, overlaps, and design drift across products, and lead efforts to improve coherence across the portfolio.

  • Work with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure shared design standards are practical, implementable, and sustainable.

Coaching, Enablement, and Design Practice Maturity

  • Mentor and support UX designers through design critiques, working sessions, feedback, and practical guidance.

  • Help strengthen design capability, ways of working, and UX maturity across the team.

  • Foster a collaborative and user-centered design culture across delivery teams.

Requirement and Qualification

Education & Work Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years professional experience in UX, product design, or service design.

  • Demonstrated experience working on enterprise, platform, or other complex digital systems.

  • Strong portfolio showing UX strategy, interaction design, design systems, and user-centered problem solving.

Technical Knowledge

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, usability testing, accessibility, information architecture, and responsive design.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to guide other designers and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct line authority.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments.

  • High attention to detail, while maintaining a strategic cross-product perspective
