Senior UI/UX Designer

You'll be designing for legal professionals who manage hundreds of active cases at once, where clarity, trust, and data security aren't nice-to-haves – they're the product.
LegalSight is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer with 5+ years of experience (or equivalent demonstrated impact) who is a self-starter and strong collaborator, with the ability to design solutions for complex, data-dense web applications.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time (U.S. time zone). This is an OVERNIGHT shift in the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain style guides.
- Translate hypotheses and requirements into concepts - user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Develop design specifications and proof-of-concept solutions in response to business needs.
- Produce solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards, and site maps.
- Incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams (product, development, sales, operations, etc.).
- Make and defend design decisions to various stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate with other design team members on shared designs and flows.
Requirements:
- Expertise in Figma (component libraries, auto-layout, variables)
- Experience working with online whiteboarding and project management software.
- Strong background in iterative design.
- Build and use design systems via asset creation and maintenance.
- Understand and design for the distinct needs of different user roles (Project Manager, Vendor, Client, Sales).
- Establish and enforce uniform design patterns across the product.
- Experience taking products from concept through launch.
- Takes initiative in researching and finding design assets.
- Willingness to learn about, work within, and offer improvements for our software and process standards.
- Comfortable working with ambiguous or incomplete requirements, and able to visualize exploratory design directions from limited input.
- Able to identify and design for edge cases, empty states, and error conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with design library creation, organization, and maintenance is a big plus.
- Previous experience working with B2B systems is a plus.
- Previous experience designing web applications with complex data – dense tables, filters, bulk actions, and dashboards - is a plus.
- Previous experience in the IP industry, other legal industries, or industries with large amounts of data and complex rules and regulations.
- Interest and experience using AI tools to support design workflows (ideation, prototyping, asset generation, etc.).
