Senior Test Manager - IT Infrastructure

We are looking for a Senior Test Manager - IT Infrastructure who can keep testing predictable, structured and closely anchored in customer and technical requirements across major projects, transitions and transformations.

The role combines traditional Test Management with a strong focus on modern infrastructure testing, automation, delivery pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.

About the role

As our Senior Test Manager, you will drive the planning, coordination and execution of testing across complex infrastructure deliveries.

Working closely with customers, project managers, program managers, architects, platform engineers, DevOps teams and technical SMEs, you will translate infrastructure changes into clear test strategies, acceptance criteria and executable test scenarios.

Your primary focus is infrastructure testing, including areas such as:

• Network
• Workplace and endpoint
• Identity and access
• Datacenter and compute
• Storage and backup
• Cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Platform services
• Infrastructure integrations
• Infrastructure-as-Code
• Automated infrastructure validation

The role may also involve testing where infrastructure changes interact with the application layer, but the primary responsibility remains infrastructure and platform testing.

What you'll do

• Work closely with customers, project managers, program managers, architects and technical SMEs to define and agree test scope, scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain clear test strategies and test plans.
• Translate infrastructure architecture and technical changes into testable scenarios.
• Ensure creation and execution of appropriate test cases across infrastructure deliveries.
• Drive increased use of automated infrastructure testing where appropriate.
• Define and support automated validation within CI/CD and delivery pipelines.
• Support testing of infrastructure delivered through Infrastructure-as-Code, including automated verification of configuration and deployment outcomes.
• Work with DevOps, platform and engineering teams to identify which tests should be automated and embedded in delivery pipelines.
• Coordinate test environments, test data, resources and timelines.
• Follow up continuously on execution, defects, retesting and risk.
• Validate infrastructure dependencies and impacts where infrastructure connects to application services.
• Document and publish test results, progress, risks and readiness assessments.
• Provide clear recommendations regarding test completion and production readiness.
• Ensure test evidence is sufficient to support acceptance and go-live decisions.
• Contribute to reusable test methods, templates, automation patterns and standards within Global Test Management.
• Support structured knowledge transfer and transition of testing responsibilities from existing specialists and external consultants into internal Aeven teams.

Where you'll make an impact

You will become a central anchor for infrastructure testing in large-scale customer transitions, transformations and internal platform programs.

You will help strengthen Aeven's internal Test Management capability while increasing the use of repeatable and automated testing across infrastructure deliveries.

The role may support projects involving business-critical and society-critical IT services.

Your experience includes

Must-have

• Significant hands-on Test Management experience within IT infrastructure or platform environments.
• Experience defining infrastructure test strategies, test plans, test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of how infrastructure changes can be tested and validated before production release.
• Experience coordinating complex technical test streams across multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience with test automation or automated infrastructure validation.
• Understanding of CI/CD or automated delivery pipelines and how testing can be integrated into them.
• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and how IaC-based deployments can be tested or validated.
• Experience with cloud, hybrid infrastructure, platform engineering or modern infrastructure environments.
• Ability to communicate technical risks, progress and readiness clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across geographically distributed teams.
• Fluency in English.

Strong advantage

Experience with one or more of the following would be highly valuable:

• Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms
• Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, ARM (Azure Resource Manager), CloudFormation or similar IaC technologies
• Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar pipeline technologies
• PowerShell, Python or other scripting languages
• Kubernetes, containers or modern platform technologies
• Automated API, infrastructure or integration testing
• Network, identity, security, backup/recovery or disaster-recovery testing
• Observability, monitoring and automated health validation
• Large-scale infrastructure migrations or transformations
• Transition or knowledge-transfer activities involving external suppliers or consultants
• ITIL or formal Test Management methodologies/certifications

What we are looking for

We are not looking only for someone who can coordinate test activities.

We need someone who can understand the underlying infrastructure sufficiently well to challenge technical teams, identify meaningful test scenarios and help move testing from predominantly manual coordination toward repeatable and automated validation.

You should be comfortable operating between Test Management, infrastructure engineering and DevOps teams.

You do not need to be the engineer building every automation yourself, but you should understand the technologies well enough to define the testing approach, challenge the solution and drive implementation together with technical specialists.

We work closely with delivery teams and customers and aim to automate testing where this improves quality, repeatability and delivery speed.

The role requires strong collaboration across Aeven teams in the Philippines, Czech Republic and Denmark.

Work Schedule

Employees will be expected to adhere to a flexible hybrid work schedule, with a required presence in the office for 1 day per week, allowing for customization of work hours within a specified morning or mid-shift time frame.
