The Opportunity
As a
Manufacturing Product Quality Technician at Allegro MicroSystems, you will serve as a critical gatekeeper for product quality and yield. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical investigations, perform complex risk analyses on wafer lots, and drive the disposition of non-conforming materials. You will act as a key technical leader, bridging the gap between data analytics and real-world manufacturing solutions to minimize scrap losses and ensure that only the highest-quality products move forward in the production process.
What You Will Do
- Drive Yield & Disposition: Perform comprehensive wafer map reviews and lot assessments to drive the immediate disposition and release of held lots, ensuring smooth production flow.
- Lead Risk Analysis: Take the lead on providing final approvals for Probe NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), conducting deep-dive risk assessments in collaboration with MPE, DPE, and Process Engineering teams.
- Analyze & Improve: Utilize data analytics to identify sources of electrical failure, providing actionable feedback to root cause owners to improve overall yield and reduce scrap.
- Manage Operations: Lead a team of co-technicians, managing shifting schedules to ensure 24/7 technical support for probe operations.
- Support Quality & Reporting: Generate and present performance metrics to the management team and support investigations related to customer complaints with data-driven insights.
- Promote Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in 5S and Kaizen programs while executing tactical tasks to achieve annual KPI goals.
What You Will Bring
- Educational Foundation: You are a graduate of an Engineering or Technology course.
- Technical Experience: At least two years of equivalent experience in a technical field, preferably within a semiconductor manufacturing or quality environment.
- Analytical Proficiency: Familiarity with statistical tools and a strong ability to perform detailed data analytics to solve yield and quality issues.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in standard computer and office software to generate reports and track performance metrics.
- Leadership Potential: The ability to guide and coordinate the activities of fellow technicians to ensure sustaining tasks are performed accurately and efficiently.
