Job Description:

Job Summary

Provide equipment support to manufacturing through verification, repair or replacement of defective part/boards. Responsibility covers accomplishment of his business unit objectives and deliverables through efficient management of his work. He/she is accountable in maintaining outstanding quality of work, good housekeeping, and a safe workplace in his area of responsibility.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides test operations the necessary technical support to sustain the efficient operation.
  • Perform set-up of equipment as per required by the production and ensures all test equipment are in good conditions prior set-up to production with supervision. (e.i Tester, Contactor/Pins, Hardware, Handler… etc).
  • Plan and implement effective Conditioned Based Maintenance program on equipment held.
  • Perform equipment qualification and machine buy-off and ensure full compliance to the operations.
  • Conducts analysis, investigations and form the necessary corrective and preventive actions online performance including but not limited to productivity, quality, and safety. He/she must be able to interpret each indicators and acts based on structured problem solving. Ensures that the decision-making is rational and based on pertinent data.
  • Carries out the necessary corrective actions based on the provided investigation and analysis online performance including but not limited to productivity, quality, and safety. Ensures data are pertinent and credible.
  • Initiates equipment improvements and modifications (corrective maintenance) using pertinent and credible data to ensure that the objective of the section and department is attained.
  • Work with the Supervisor/Engineer regarding the performance of test equipment to support the attainment of the overall strategic business plan, department goals and objectives.
  • Support the attainment of the overall equipment effectiveness i.e. Utilization, MTBF/MTTR, availability, efficiency, yield, quality performance, and its factors, AM/PM, SEMI E10.
  • Ensures compliance to quality systems by complying with procedures and specifications (e.g. control plan, setup control, correlation procedures, and other related procedures/specifications. Participates in quality systems audit(s).
  • 5S compliance within the area of responsibility
  • Maybe designated to supervise a group of non-exempt levels (Technicians) and able provide proper guidance.
  • Able to create training outline, module, and assessment.
  • Performs duties such as complying to company rules and regulations or government laws and codes conducting investigations or research writing technical, informative, or operational reports and papers or working on special projects considering his/her knowledge and experience.
  • Responsible to carry out PM instructions, activities and strategies written in Preventive Maintenance (PM) Specification.
  • Request immediate PR for spare parts needed, known defective during PM without spare and all other needed spare part on equipment held with proper escalation and pre-approval by immediate superior.
  • Escalation of major technical issues to shift leaders.
  • Ensures adequate inventory of spare parts on sets of equipment held in conformance to document number FRM-35027-206 Initial/Recommended Spare Parts List.
  • Comply Standard Operating Procedure and follow rules and regulation set by the Company.
  • Understand and observe the Microchip vision, mission, and guiding values always.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Education

Graduate of at least 2-year Technical Course, Electromechanical, Electronics or Mechanical Technology.

Work Experience

Preferably with at least 8 years experience in similar field in Semiconductor, Electronics Company.

Other Requirements

  • Candidate must have electronics and mechanical knowledge.
  • Skilled in computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Power point)
  • Experienced in any Test Equipment models. Other Semiconductor Test equipment is an advantage
  • Able to read schematic diagram and identify electronic parts.
  • Basic Skills and knowledge in problem solving tools (7QC Tools, Fault Tree Analysis, Why-Why Analysis and Fish Bone Analysis)
  • Able to work collaborative with the group and internal/external customers.
  • Highly energetic, self-motivated, and optimistic
  • Ability to work as individual and or as a team member
  • Ability to adapt successfully to multiple tasks that occur in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to conduct or perform equipment training as Subject Matter Expertise Training Skill (SMETS) Trainer.
  • Must speak and write English fluently
  • Candidate must have a good manners and right conduct.
  • Candidate must have a strong leadership skill.
