Job Description

Provide advanced technical consultation and onsite support for semiconductor handling, probing, and thermal solutions.
Manage and resolve product escalation issues to minimise customer production downtime.
Collaborate with field service, R&D, and global engineering teams to improve product performance and reliability.
Monitor failure trends and analyse technical data to identify improvement opportunities.
Support new product introduction (NPI) evaluations, including planning, preparation, execution, and reporting.
Compile evaluation results and provide technical feedback to R&D teams.
Drive solution enhancements focused on throughput, stability, thermal performance, and production readiness.
Track and manage product safety initiatives, including RFI, FCO, and ANZEN activities.
Ensure safe operation of equipment through training and compliance with safety standards.
Conduct technical knowledge transfer sessions for field service engineers and customers.
Deliver workshops, troubleshooting training, and train-the-trainer programmes.
Support critical customer projects requiring travel, extended working hours, and weekend support when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Technical Support Engineer should have:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience supporting semiconductor package handling, wafer probing, thermal technologies, or automation systems.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to manage technical escalations in a customer-facing environment.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global engineering teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for continuous improvement and technical knowledge sharing.
Flexibility to travel on short notice and support urgent customer requirements.
