Job Title: Technical Program Manager 3
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
What you will do
- End-to-End Program Ownership: Independently lead and drive massive, highly ambiguous, cross-functional technical programs from concept to launch. You won't just manage sub-projects; you will own the entire roadmap and strategic execution of core platform or product domain
- Technical & Architectural Influence: Partner deeply with Engineering Directors, Principal Architects, and Product leaders to shape technical decisions, evaluate system designs, and unblock complex architectural dependencies
- Process Architecture & Governance: Design, scale, and optimize organizational engineering frameworks (Agile, Scaled Agile, or Hybrid) tailored to program complexity. Move beyond managing daily ceremonies to establishing macro-level delivery predictability
- Proactive Dependency & Risk Management: Mathematically and strategically map out complex cross-team dependencies. Predict, identify, and aggressively mitigate systemic risks before they impact timelines or engineering velocity
- High-Stakes Stakeholder & Escalation Management: Serve as the central point of truth for leadership. Effectively manage internal and external escalations across VP and C-level stakeholders with data-driven options and clear trade-offs
- Customer & Metrics-Driven Delivery: Anchor program success to business outcomes. Define, track, and optimize key engineering and product metrics that directly impact the end-user experience.
Who you are
- Proven Track Record: 5+ years of core Technical Program Management (TPM) experience leading complex, large-scale software or infrastructure initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Solid Engineering Foundation: 8+ years of total experience working directly with engineering teams, including 3+ years of hands-on software development, system architecture, or quality engineering experience. You can confidently read code, challenge architectural decisions, and speak the same language as your tech leads.
- Master of Ambiguity: A proven ability to take highly chaotic, ill-defined problems and break them down into structured, actionable, and scalable technical execution plans
- Cross-Functional Catalyst: Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of driving alignment across disparate engineering, product, security, compliance, and business operations teams
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. A Master's degree (MBA) is highly preferred
