PeerLINCis aknowledgehubestablishedby TB Alliance,in collaboration withtheTropicalDisease Foundation in Manila,thatprovidestechnicalassistanceinspeedingupprogrammatic implementation of innovativetuberculosis treatments globally.PeerLINCfollows a peer-to-peer model for sharing of best practices, experiences, tools, and materials by connecting experts from early-adopter countries, with other countries interested in implementing the latest TB treatments to accelerate access to improved TB curesrecommended by WHO.
Sinceitslaunch in 2024,PeerLINChasengaged with morethan40 countries globally creating a learning and experience sharing networkaimedto improve treatment outcomes, people experience and drive equal access to knowledge and care in TB.
PeerLINCis supported by Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in close collaboration with the Department of Health, Philippines.
The Senior Technical Advisor will report to the Head ofPeerLINC. This is a remote work opportunity withexpected travel up to40%.
The Role:
The Senior Technical Advisoris responsible forleading and managingPeerLINC'sprogrammatic and clinical programs. This role will involve:
- Development and delivery of training programs, experience sharing sessions,and tools, tofacilitatethe knowledge exchangeprimarilywithhigh TB burden countrieson the Programmatic and Clinical aspects of implementing new TB treatments (starting withBPaLM/BPaL).
- Serve as a contact point for continuous communication with countriesandfacilitatepeer-to-peerexchangeof the bestpractices,implementation progress,andadditionalrequestsfor technical assistancethatPeerLINCcan provide.
- Createandleadthepoolofinternationalconsultants serving as subject matter experts in specific areas(suchas clinical, laboratory, supply chain, etc.). Plan and coordinate involvement of expertsinspecificPeerLINCactivities astraining,moduledevelopment,guidelinesrevision,and others.
- The Senior Technical Advisor will alsofacilitatethe smooth operations oftheGlobal Technical Expert Group (G-TEC).
- Serve asa subject matter expert,providing inputs for other members orthePeerLINCteam working together withtheCommunications Lead and Project Manager
- Serve as subject matter expert incommunications with global and country TB stakeholders whenrequired
- RepresentPeerLINCduring international, regional,and national conferences and scientific events,
You have:
- Adegree in Medicine (MD) or Public Health
- At least 10 years of experienceof workinginNGOsorgovernmentbody, supportingdevelopment activities inthefield ofinfectious disease, preferably tuberculosis
- Strong experience in the provision of technicalassistanceto national TB programs
- Experience of developing and delivering training courses
- Ability to influence those outside of the immediate sphere of control
- Strong communicationand public speaking skills
- Fluency in Englishrequired,additional UN languageswill beabenefit
- Proven experience of collaboration with LMICs countries inthefield of healthcare will be considered as a benefit
- Readiness to workacrossdifferent culturesand time zones will be consideredabenefit
