Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing the closing process by performing month, quarter and year-end close procedures and reconciliation as well as coordinating timely completion across the Corporate Accounting.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the general ledger and financial reporting structure to
  • Ensure accuracy of the information for financial reporting.
  • Perform variance analysis on P&L.
  • Oversee all tax reporting (Withholding Tax, VAT, Income Tax, Stamp Tax) and timely filing with the BIR.
  • Managing all Tax Assessments and Tax Audits.
  • Bookkeeping and maintenance of complete accounting records including information and documents supporting the accounting records.
  • Managing Fixed Asset activities and Intercompany charges.
  • Ensure annual update of Transfer Pricing Documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to have an efficient closing procedure and reporting timelines.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to streamline and automate manual procedures and computations.
  • Developed internal processes and control in compliance with corporate financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordination with Corporate and Local legal counsels with regards to legal compliances.
  • Working closely with external auditors for annual audit, tax advisors for tax related audit, legal advisors and bankers.
  • Training, coaching, developing and mentoring staff including formal objective / target setting, performance reviews and regularly providing feedback.
  • Regular check updates on new tax issuance and tax compliance.
  • Ensure Statutory filing, business permit and reportorial requirements are met on time with SEC, BIR and PEZA.
  • Develop and monitor internal controls to minimize financial risk.

Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty consistently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the skill, knowledge and/or ability required.

  • With 5 to 8 years of management experience in general accounting functions preferably with BPO and Shared Services
  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Finance
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and PFRS / IFRS
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and accounting software preferably Oracle
  • Willing to move beyond high-level strategy to assist with or perform the hands-on work alongside their team.
  • Interpersonal skills and work efficiently in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment
  • Maintain organizational confidentiality
  • Can work on a mid-shift schedule and on a hybrid work arrangement
