Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, qualified Accountant to act as support for our clients including
handling of individual tax returns, small business returns and BAS lodgements.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Accurate and timely preparation of client financial statements and tax returns for individuals, and small to medium businesses
Assisting with lodgement to the ATO within lodgement timeframes
Completion of IAS and BAS returns before the ATO due date
Reconciling and reviewing accounts in a timely manner
Business budgeting and cash flow management.
Ad-hoc assistance to the accounting team as required

Special Requirements
Perfect and excellent written and spoken English
Willing to work Australian hours
Knowledge of the Australian Tax System and Legislation
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Advanced knowledge of Gmail / Google Doc, Sheets, Mail, Calendar
Experience With Australian Businesses Is Preferred
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Min 3 to 5 years experience in Public Practice in Australian Tax (Income Tax and GST)
Preferably with extensive knowledge using Xero
Willing to take initiative on tasks when the opportunity arises
Willing to make suggestions or create efficiencies if they think there is a smarter way of doing things.
