Role DescriptionThe Senior Tax Accountant (Australian Tax and Compliance) is a full-time, on-site role based in Pasig. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end Australian tax compliance, including preparation and review of individual, corporate, trust, and partnership tax returns, BAS, and other statutory filings. The Senior Tax Accountant will prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure alignment with Australian accounting and tax standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with clients to gather required information, addressing tax queries, monitoring lodgment deadlines, and implementing tax planning strategies in line with regulations. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, improving internal processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support client engagements.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation for Australian entities.
  • Solid understanding of Tax regulations and Australian taxation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Robust Accounting skills, including general ledger management and reconciliation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Experience in Australian tax and compliance in a public practice or corporate environment, ideally at a senior level.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Comfort with accounting and tax software; experience with Australian tax platforms and cloud-based tools is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Pasig and support international clients across different time zones as needed.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Rosario, Pasig City. Reporting directly to the Australian Partners and Managers, you will play a key role in managing Australian taxation, financial reporting, and compliance activities while mentoring junior accountants to uphold our quality standards.

This role requires strong expertise in Australian Public Practice Accounting and a deep understanding of ATO regulations. If you are a seasoned tax professional looking to grow your career in an international accounting environment, we would love to hear from you.

Work Arrangement

This position is strictly ON-SITE at our office in Rosario, Pasig City, Metro Manila. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this role. Kindly apply only if you are willing and able to report on-site daily.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and review Australian Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and other entities

· Review and lodge BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, FBT, and other Australian tax compliance requirements

· Provide taxation, accounting, and business advisory support to Australian clients

· Review and guide work completed by junior accountants, providing technical mentoring and support

· Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining quality, accuracy, and turnaround times

· Liaise directly with Australian Partners, Managers, and clients on taxation and compliance matters

· Identify opportunities to improve client processes and internal efficiencies

Skills and Experience

· Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· CA Australia, CA ANZ, or CPA Philippines qualification preferred but not required

· Minimum5 years of Australian Public Practice Accounting experience (Tax Accounting)

· Extensive knowledge of Australian Taxation including Income Tax, BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, FBT, and Financial Reporting

· Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Excel

· Excellent English communication, analytical, organizational, and client management skills

· Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain high standards of professional service
