The Role

We're seeking a Senior Systems Engineer. This role is role focused on delivering Microsoft infrastructure solutions rather than reactive support. The key responsibilities of the position include SharePoint migrations, process improvement initiatives, automation projects and Microsoft infrastructure operations with Microsoft Azure serving as primary technology ecosystem.

Location: Must be in the Philippines - Remote

Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1).

Timezone: Monday to Friday – 8AM – 5PM MST / 10PM – 7AM Philippine Time

Employment: Full Time

Requirements

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud platform.
• Strong background in Microsoft infrastructure administration and operational engineering.
• Broad foundational knowledge across multiple IT domains, including Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS (preferred but not required).
• Exposure to automation tools and practices (can be developed on the job).
• Experience supporting infrastructure migration or modernization projects is an advantage.
  
  

Experience

• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant infrastructure engineering or systems administration experience.
• Flexibility on years of experience, with greater emphasis placed on technical capability, infrastructure knowledge, and overall skill alignment rather than tenure.
  
  

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Ownership & Operations

• Own and maintain assigned infrastructure services and client environments
• Ensure system availability, performance, security, patching, backups, and overall environment health
• Proactively monitor environments and remediate issues before client impact occurs
• Serve as the primary incident owner for assigned services and systems
• Independently resolve common and moderately complex technical issues
• Lead incidents through the full lifecycle, including:
• Detection
• Resolution
• Communication
• Post-incident follow-up
• Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors as needed
• Implement and manage low-to-medium risk infrastructure changes
  

Continuous Improvement & Automation

• Identify recurring operational issues and contribute to root cause analysis
• Execute corrective actions to reduce repeat incidents and operational noise
• Identify and eliminate repetitive manual work (toil)
• Develop, maintain, and improve scripts, tooling, and automations
• Build and support API-based integrations between systems and platforms
• Improve operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability through automation initiatives
  
  

Documentation & Process Standardization

• Maintain accurate documentation for systems, configurations, and operational processes
• Improve runbooks and standard operating procedures
• Ensure operational work is repeatable, scalable, and transferable across the team
