The Role
We're seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is designed for an infrastructure-focused professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving automation initiatives, improving operational processes, and supporting modern Microsoft-based environments.
You'll play a key role in managing infrastructure operations, leading SharePoint migration projects, developing automation solutions, and ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of client environments.
Location: Must be in Colombia – Remote.
Environment: Colombian and International Teams.
Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1).
Timezone: Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST.
Contract: Non-fixed Term Colombian Contract.
Requirements
- PowerShell scripting
- Microsoft Azure (primary cloud platform)
- Microsoft infrastructure and operational engineering experience
- Broad foundational knowledge across multiple technical domains
Nice-to-Have Skills
- AWS experience (preferred but not required)
- Exposure to automation practices and tooling (can be developed over time)
Experience Level
- Targeting approximately 3–5 years of experience
- Flexibility has been confirmed around years of experience
- Greater emphasis is placed on technical capability, infrastructure knowledge, and skill alignment rather than tenure alone
Culture Index Requirements
Candidates will be required to complete the Culture Index assessment for the E2 classification.
Preferred Profiles
Strong technical skill alignment is prioritized over strict profile matching.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Administration, or similar technical roles.

Responsibilities
Infrastructure Ownership & Operations
- Own and maintain assigned infrastructure services and client environments
- Ensure system availability, performance, security, patching, backups, and overall environment health
- Proactively monitor environments and remediate issues before client impact occurs
- Serve as the primary incident owner for assigned services and systems
- Independently resolve common and moderately complex technical issues
- Lead incidents through the full lifecycle, including:
- Detection
- Resolution
- Communication
- Post-incident follow-up
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors as needed
- Implement and manage low-to-medium risk infrastructure changes
Continuous Improvement & Automation
- Identify recurring operational issues and contribute to root cause analysis
- Execute corrective actions to reduce repeat incidents and operational noise
- Identify and eliminate repetitive manual work (toil)
- Develop, maintain, and improve scripts, tooling, and automations
- Build and support API-based integrations between systems and platforms
- Improve operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability through automation initiatives
Documentation & Process Standardization
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems, configurations, and operational processes
- Improve runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Ensure operational work is repeatable, scalable, and transferable across the team
