Job Overview
The Logistics Associate provides technical expertise in supply chain planning and logistics by analyzing materials flow, inventory, production, warehousing, transportation, and procurement activities. Recommends process improvements and optimization initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, inventory utilization, service levels, and logistics cost performance across San Miguel Brewery Inc.s International Operations Business Units.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and optimization of materials supply, inventory movements, and production planning across Business Units to ensure material availability while minimizing inventory investment and supply chain risks.
- Evaluate production schedules, stock movements, distribution requirements, and container return performance, and recommend actions to improve supply reliability, inventory turnover, and customer service levels.
- Evaluate commodity markets and major material price movements and develop strategic recommendations to support procurement decisions, budgeting assumptions, and long-term cost optimization initiatives.
- Lead logistics performance analysis through container return performance evaluation, logistics KPIs, inventory utilization, and cost drivers, and formulate strategic recommendations that enhance operational efficiency, asset utilization, and overall supply chain performance.
- Develop business analyses and performance dashboards, and prepare management reports that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Administer logistics contracts and business partner control processes to ensure compliance with Procurement Policies and corporate standards.
- Provide functional guidance and technical support to Business Unit Logistics teams on logistics policies, procedures, and best practices.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field,
- At least five (5) years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, including experience in a supervisory and/or department head position.
- Strong experience in inventory management, materials planning, production planning, warehousing, transportation, and procurement.
- Proficient in supply chain planning, forecasting, inventory optimization, and logistics analytics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in developing business analyses, management reports, and performance dashboards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP experience is an advantage).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience in logistics cost analysis, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Willing to travel locally and overseas, as required.
