About the Role

The Senior Strategist is responsible for leading the development of integrated communication strategies that connect business, advocacy, and reputation objectives with human insight and audience behavior. The role combines high-level strategic leadership with strong planning and insight development capabilities, ensuring that all recommendations are grounded in research, clarity, and measurable impact.

This role works closely with senior leadership, analysts, account leads, creatives, and clients to shape strategies that are not only compelling but also actionable and effective.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Direction

  • Lead the development of end-to-end communication strategies across Marketing, PR, advocacy, brand, and integrated campaigns
  • Translate business, organizational, or societal challenges into clear communication opportunities
  • Ensure strategic consistency across campaigns, platforms, and stakeholder touchpoints
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to clients and internal teams

Planning & Insight Development

  • Lead audience and stakeholder analysis and communications planning workshops
  • Synthesize research (qualitative, quantitative, social listening, desk research) into clear, usable insights
  • Develop strategic and creative briefs grounded in a strong single-minded insight
  • Define audience journeys and engagement moments across channels
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure insights are translated effectively into execution

Strategy Architecture & Narrative Development

  • Build message hierarchies, narratives, and positioning frameworks aligned with campaign and organizational goals
  • Develop campaign architectures and thematic frameworks
  • Ensure narratives are credible, relevant, and aligned with the client's operating environment
  • Define success metrics and KPIs aligned with strategic objectives

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Present strategies clearly and confidently to clients and stakeholders
  • Guide clients through strategic decision-making, trade-offs, and prioritization
  • Act as a strategic advisor during key moments such as launches, issues management, or organizational transitions

Mentorship & Team Enablement

  • Mentor junior strategists, analysts, and account team members
  • Provide quality control and strategic guidance across deliverables
  • Contribute to the agency's intellectual capital, frameworks, and best practices

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Psychology, Sociology, Business, or a related field
  • Demonstrated senior-level experience leading strategy within a communications, PR, advertising, or consulting environment
  • Proven ability to develop and lead integrated communication, advocacy, brand, or reputation strategies
  • Strong capability in planning and insight development, including research interpretation, audience and stakeholder analysis
  • Deep understanding of current communication, media, and cultural trends, with the ability to translate these into strategic opportunities
  • Strong familiarity with Filipino behavior, culture, values, and socio-political context, and how these shape communication and engagement
  • Skilled in developing strategic and creative briefs, messaging frameworks, and campaign architectures
  • Clear, persuasive communicator with confidence engaging senior clients and multidisciplinary teams
