Job Description

The Senior Specialist - Performance leads the analysis, validation, and delivery of investment performance data, partnering closely with local and regional performance teams, client reporting, and front and middle office stakeholders. This role requires advanced expertise in performance methodologies, systems, and asset management operations, with a strong focus on data integrity, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end analysis, validation, and delivery of investment performance data across multiple portfolios and asset classes, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve complex data, reconciliation, and calculation issues by leveraging system knowledge, historical trends, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Conduct detailed review and validation of performance outputs, including returns and benchmark comparisons, ensuring adherence to established methodologies and control frameworks.
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly), providing meaningful insights into portfolio performance, drivers of return, and deviations from benchmarks.
  • Take ownership of assigned workflows by managing daily production activities, prioritizing deliverables, and ensuring adherence to service level agreements and quality standards.
  • Apply deep understanding of performance methodologies and tools to resolve queries, provide guidance, and support escalations from internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and validate portfolio, and benchmark data within performance systems, ensuring strong data governance and consistency across platforms.
  • Perform complex calculations and independent validations, including manual checks where system outputs require verification or adjustment.
  • Respond to recurring and ad hoc requests by translating technical performance concepts into clear, concise, and actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, including process improvements, automation of reporting workflows, and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including portfolio management and IT to support data accuracy, reporting alignment, and issue resolution.
  • Support team capability building through knowledge sharing, documentation and informal mentoring of junior team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related quantitative discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in investment performance, asset management, or wealth management with exposure to performance reporting and analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of performance measurement and attribution methodologies, including multi-asset class portfolios and benchmark construction.
  • Solid understanding of investment strategies, portfolio analytics, and risk and return concepts within an asset management environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and automation techniques.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar tools to create dashboards, visualizations, and performance reporting solutions .
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools such as Power Automate or equivalent technologies.
  • Solid experience with investment and performance systems such as Sylvan, Bloomberg, Morningstar, Lipper, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work in a schedule aligned to US markets with flexibility to support Asia-based stakeholders when required.

  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet competing deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs and continuously improving processes and controls.
